Once you’ve made a deposit and placed a bet of at least 10 GBP/Euros – it needs to be one bet for at least that amount and not two or more bets making up the 10 GBP/Euros – you’ll be entitled to 2x 10 GBP/Euro bets. Your first bet (the qualifying bet) must be at odds of at least 2.0.
Your first free bet will be credited to you within 72 hours of the initial bet you placed being settled and the second bet will be credited within 7 days of the first bet being settled. Both free bets must be placed at odds of 1.5 or greater and have to be singles, not accas.
Make sure you use both free bets within 7 days of being awarded them or else they will expire. It’s also worth remembering that you don’t get to keep the stake of the free bets if they win but then again, this is standard industry practice.
Opening an account
You’ll struggle to find a quicker betting company when it comes to opening an account. This really is all that is required. Just go to their site and press the big green Join Now button on the top right hand corner.
Better still, if you already had a Casino account, or more likely, a Poker one with Bet Stars, you can use that one for your Sportsbook activities as well. You can use just the one account for all three products.
It’s a real bummer when your horse falls, is brought down or unseats the rider. Except it’s less of a bummer when Bet Stars refunds your stake as a free bet when that happens, up to 25 GBP/Euros.
This is a good promo that virtually no-one else offers and one that can see get quite a lot back if you’re a regular racing punter.
Acca bonus up to 100% (football)
Lots of other companies offer a version of this promo but this is one of the more generous ones. Firstly, because it gives you greater flexibility regarding which football markets you can include in your acca, secondly because it applies to ALL football matches and thirdly because the bonus goes all the way up to 100%, should you have 14 winning selections in it. Maximum bonus is 100,000 GBP/Euros per day, per customer.
All bonuses are paid out as free bets. Read the terms though because there always some extra things you should know about.
There are a few other decent promos available so take a look for yourselves.

For a company who made a name for itself as a Poker brand and who has only had a Sportsbook for two years, they’ve done good work so far.
As is often the case with newer Sportsbooks, they haven’t tried to cover every single sport under the sun just for the sake of it, like say Bet365 or Paddypower do. Instead, they’ve covered the main sports well with their football product not too far behind its more established competitors, offering a load of markets on everything from match winner to goals, handicaps, players to score and corners.
And speaking of football, if that’s your cup of tea, then you certainly won’t be disappointed with their offering of different leagues and cup competitions. If Jamaican, Lebanese or Panamanian football is what floats your boat, you’ve certainly come to the right place.
When you open any market it will also give you some useful information like what TV channel the game/race is being shown on and if it’s In-play, you can also see the current score quickly and easily. These may sound like small things but the devil is in the detail.
What you won’t find so much of is a lot of options when it comes to Specials Betting. There are a couple of very basic markets like Sports Personality of the Year but that’s about it and you’ll have to go elsewhere if you’re really into this kind of stuff. Which is understandable because as we’ve said already, they’re still trying to nail the basis rather than getting too far ahead of themselves.
Getting a price that’s out of line with what everyone else is offering (a better one) is a rarity these days because no-one is prepared to take too much of a risk and firms go out of their way to make sure they don’t make any mistakes.
The result is most companies are pretty similar in prices on who will win a horse race, a football match or a tennis game. Although occasionally you might get some better value on one site than another on a first goalscorer or top batsman, for example.
Either way, Bet Stars are no better or worse than anyone else in terms of their prices.

Good news or bad news? Good? Ok. They’ve set up a load of FAQs on their site so that hopefully, whatever your query is, you’ll find an answer to it already written out. The problem with that of course, is that if you have a query or problem that’s very specific to you individually, it won’t be include there. Like a query about a specific bet you’ve placed.
Bad news. There’s no live chat or phone option with which to contact Customer Service. That’s pretty unusual these days and what it suggests is that they have a skeleton staff on duty rather than a big team, like some of the bigger Operators do. Understandable again, but they’ll have to put some more resources into CS if they want to take the step up.
All that said, if you do contact them via one of their methods- e-mail or by filling out an online inquiry form- they deal with matters pretty quickly and efficiently.
So mixed feelings about their Customer Service Team.
Without us meaning to sound like a broken record, Bet Stars are still finding their feet in the highly competitive world of online Sportsbooks and as such, it’s too early for snazzy features like livestreaming, a kick-ass blog or the ability to request your own bets via Twitter.
But if you’re happy to have a Sportsbook with few frills that does the simple things well and offers decent odds, this could be a good option. Besides, because it’s very much in its infancy, there’s plenty of progression to look forward to and within two years or so it could be up there with the better ones.
